Karina Irby ‘accidentally’ buys investment property on the Gold Coast

A young entrepreneur has been branded deaf after claiming she “accidentally” bought an investment property.

Karina Irby, OnlyFans star and owner of swimwear brand Moana Bikini, celebrated the news with her thousands of followers on Instagram on Wednesday.

But one follower pointed out that it’s not “legally possible” to buy a house by accident – and others said she was insensitive given how many young people are struggling to scrape together a deposit for their first house.

“I may have accidentally, a little on purpose, bought an investment property!” the Gold Coast influencer, 33, laughed in the video.

“And I can literally see it from my bed.” Oh, my God… Do you see that?

“I just bought it… My God, now I have two mortgages. Am I the worst as an adult?

“If it was a huge risk, I’m sure my accountant would have told me not to buy it. I don’t even remember the amount of the refunds.

If Ms. Irby expected her followers to be happy for her, she was in for a shock, with many lambasting the tone of her video amid a deepening cost-of-living crisis.

“Imagine being so rich that you “accidentally” buy an investment property? they say.

“Most people are struggling and can barely afford their rent, gas and food,” one person wrote. “This is not a very tasteful video right now, Karina.”

“I may have accidentally bought an investment property,” Gold Coast woman Karina Irby (pictured) told her thousands of Instagram followers on Wednesday.

“Please don’t make videos like this while people are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and feed their children,” a second agreed.

A third shared: “Good on you, Karina. Although it still seems incredibly tone deaf.

“You clearly work hard for your money, but between the massive new car you were able to surprise buy your friend and the ‘accidentally’ investment in a second property, I don’t know…

“I’ve always been your strongest supporter, but I feel like there’s a point where some situational awareness may be warranted.”

“Damn yesterday I accidentally bought a smoothie knowing I’ll never be able to buy a house,” joked a fourth.

One follower who described herself as a “fellow investor” said it was “completely false to claim you didn’t make this purchase with careful deliberation.”

“This is legally not possible,” they added.

During a Q&A on her Instagram page last June, Ms. Irby revealed that she had 3,135 followers on OnlyFans, putting her in the top 0.55% of creators.

With a subscription fee of $20 per month, that means she earns a whopping $62,700 per month or $752,400 per year.

Ms Irby responded to criticism in the comments by saying she was “far from rich”.

“For anyone who is offended and making assumptions about my personal life, let me help you. I am far from being rich. I have NEVER been well off. Especially now,” she said.

“I’m sorry if this video upset you or anyone else. But it is my life that I have chosen and chosen to publicly publish over the past 13 years. The good times and the bad times.

“I’m not holding you hostage here, you can unfollow my travels in a heartbeat. Money doesn’t grow on trees and I am very grateful to have this opportunity. But it didn’t come without hard work, tears and sacrifice.

‘I never came from money, I was bought to work for what you want. That’s over 13 years of this mindset, dedication and pure passion. So forgive me for celebrating my own accomplishments.

‘I would be happy for you.’
