The world of music cries the heartbreaking loss of the old Children of the voice Star Karen Silva, who tragically died at only 17 years after a hemorrhagic stroke.
The young Brazilian singer, who stole hearts on national television in 2020 at only 12 years old, died after being hospitalized at São João Batista Hospital in Volta Redonda, as confirmed by a dark declaration shared with her official Instagram page on April 24.
“Karen enchanted Brazil with his powerful voice and his striking presence even in childhood, when she participated in The Voice Kids in 2020,” said the post.
“Since then, she has followed a bright path, uniting talents, charisma and representation at each stage.”
She really lit each stage on which she went up, but her influence went far beyond her voice.
“More than a promising artist, Karen was a symbol of empowerment, especially for black girls who found in his inspiration and strength to dream. His music, his message and his joy leave a deep mark on all those who met her and followed his trip,” continued the message.
The emotional post ended with a message of love and support: “At the moment of great pain, we are sending our solidarity to their parents, Manoella and Fernando, with friends, family and fans. That the memory of your light continues to guide us. “
Originally written in Portuguese, the tribute was translated for its world fans via Instagram.
A few days earlier, on April 21, his team had published a message requesting intimacy and prayers while Silva had received medical care.
“The singer Karen Silva faces a health problem and, for the moment, she is still under medical care, with the support and affection of her family and her team. We ask for respect, empathy and prayers while she recovers peacefully. All updates will be carried out by our official channels. We thank everyone for love,” said the message.
Karen’s passion for music was obvious from the start.
At 8 years old, she started vocal lessons with a dream, to sing the classic Gospel track of Edwin Hawkins singers, Oh have a nice day.
According to her first vocal coach Lana Clean, “after a few lessons, she sang the song and enchanted everyone with her striking voice. This day, Karen has never stopped singing and captivating people.”
She is survived by her loving parents, Manoella and Fernando, who, like the rest of the world, will always carry her memory in their hearts.
