Kanye West reveals why he dissected Virgil’s late Abloh in the DJ Akademiks interview

DJ Akademiks published his interview strongly teasing with Kanye West earlier during the day, and as planned, he is filled with bizarre moments. On the one hand, the rapper of Chicago interviewed in a dress and a hood inspired by the black KKK, which, according to Adin Ross, could occur earlier this month. He also discussed a remark he made during his offensive tirade on X last month, which many thought low, even for him.

He dissociated the late Virgil Abloh, despite their long history of being friends and collaborators. “I love Trav Virgile and Drake Drake the most real of these three although it is not falsified cool, he is just talented AF,” he wrote at the time. “And yes, it was F*CK Virgil and any of these other N **** s who worked for me that what used me, then I went against me, I like Virgile and he used this love to beat the Nigerians is super intelligent.”

DJ Akademiks asked him why he tweeted this during the interview, noting how most people agree that he crossed the line by pursuing someone who is not there to defend himself. According to him, the answer is quite simple. “I’m bad,” he admitted. Obviously, he resists what he said, despite the indignation of the public. This is far from being the only controversial subject you discussed during his interview with DJ Akademiks, however. He also talked about the explosive quarrel of Kendrick Lamar and Drake, even comparing Drizzy’s current position in Diddy.

“One thing is that Drake is a million times better than Kendrick and a million times more important,” he said. “What the future did, (young) thug, drake, culturally. That last year, I could barely sit down through this s ** t. That s ** t was crazy, at the end of the day, all that is funny, I say.
