Alternative social media platform Twitter Parler announced on Thursday that the company will no longer pursue the purchase of rapper Kanye West.
Parler’s announcement said the company and Kanye “mutually agreed” to back out of the sale and did not cite the rapper’s series of anti-Semitic rants in recent weeks.
Recently, Kanye praised Hitler, claimed the ‘Jewish media’ had conspired against him and associated himself with white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, while refusing to apologize or cut his speech short. .
“In response to numerous media inquiries, Parliament Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to end the intent to sell Parler. This decision was made in the interests of both parties in mid-November,” Parler announced.
“Parler will continue to seek out future growth opportunities and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community,” he added.
Talk announced that Kanye West would acquire the company in October, and appeared to deliver on that commitment even as the rapper continued to double and triple his anti-Semitism in multiple interviews. Meanwhile, the “Jesus Walks” singer had been kicked off the Twitter platform until new CEO Elon Musk lifted the ban just before Thanksgiving. It’s unclear at this time if Kanye’s deal with Parler ended due to his Twitter account being reinstated or if the company simply couldn’t tolerate the rapper’s behavior any longer. Be that as it may, Talking only went public with news of his botched deal shortly after Kanye West praised anti-Semitic mass-murdering tyrant Adolph Hitler during an interview with Alex Jones.
“Well, I see good things about Hitler too. I love everyone,” Kanye said. “And the Jews aren’t going to tell me that you can like us, and you can like what we do to you with contracts, and you can like what we push with pornography.”
“Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” he added. “Also Hitler was born a Christian.”
