Kanye West sparked some concern among fans on Monday after he appeared to have a growth in the center of his upper lip, about a month after having titanium teeth installed.

Dailymail.com previously reported that West, 46, spent around $850,000 on the experimental dental surgery, but he is now raising concerns because of a visible bump on his upper lip.

Speculation about the growth came in response to an Instagram post Monday in which West kept the camera focused on himself as he walked through an airport with his wife Bianca Censori, 29.

“What’s wrong with your upper lip?” Something is happening ?? Hmmmm??’ said one fan, while another Twitter user asked: “What is that bump in the middle of her upper lip?”

Fans’ initial reaction to the titanium teeth last month was that West – who compared himself to James Bond villain Jaws in an Instagram post after the procedure – was seeking influence and attention over social networks with this investment of almost a million dollars.

Kanye West, 46, sparked concern among fans on Monday after he appeared to have a growth in the center of his upper lip, about a month after having titanium teeth installed.

The experimental dental surgery on West was performed by Dr. Thomas Connelly, based in Beverly Hills, California, alongside master dental technician Naoki Hayashi.

Connelly previously told DailyMail.com that West “was a pleasure to work with every step of the way” because “his vision of unique art design transcends dental progression.”

Connelly said that “marrying his vision with dental science created an epic new look!”

DailyMail.com has contacted Dr. Connelly’s office for further comment on the procedure and whether it could be linked to the fan growth noted in Monday’s social media post.

In the clip released Monday, West walked alongside Censori through a terminal, holding hands at one point.

The Grammy-winning music artist responded to backlash from commenters who said he gave the Australian model too much space on his social media page.

“Don’t ever say anything negative – if you don’t like my page and don’t like what I post, fuck you, seriously,” West said. “Leave me – leave the king alone – I don’t care bro, I’ll post my wife all I want – go post your wife on your fucking Instagram.”

West echoed a similar sentiment in the clip’s caption, saying, “I’ll post my wife as much as I want bro, that makes me happy.”

Other social media outlets commented on West’s new look and the bizarre nature of the clip.

He added: “Some people don’t want you to be happy. They want you to make them happy. I decided to make myself happy and I’m happy about it.”

The post sparked various responses, with one person commenting: “Just imagine seeing Kanye in an airport,” while another said: “It’s not Kanye West, it’s someone else getting pass for him.”

Another person referenced West’s titanium teeth by saying it looked like “when you put gum wrappers on your teeth as a kid to pretend you had a grill.”

West lost a number of lucrative partnerships after a series of media appearances in late 2022 in which he made anti-Semitic statements and praised Adolf Hitler.

Bill Maher revealed last week that he scuttled a two-hour interview he did with West for his Club Random podcast, saying he didn’t want to further promote the racist views espoused by West, which he described as a “charming anti-Semite”.

Maher, 68, told TMZ, “And by the way, he’s not the only one in America who feels this way — it’s not like Jews are universally loved, with the exception of Kanye West.”
