Kamala Harris applauds Dem AG for ‘taking over’ pregnancy centers

Vice President Kamala Harris applauded Democratic attorneys general for “taking” pregnancy centers in their states during her speech at the Association of Democratic Attorneys General conference on Thursday.

Harris told the crowd that she had already met with many Democratic attorneys general and “discussed the innovative strategies” they used “to defend women’s reproductive freedom.”

Harris said:

You rightly attack crisis pregnancy centers; start public education campaigns because – I don’t think I have it here, but I’m going to show you all a map of the United States right now, in terms of the patchwork of different laws in different states on this issue and the confusion it is creating and the need, then, for some of the most trusted elected officials to clarify the state of the law and, in the midst of the great confusion, the need for you, as tell the truth, to sort fiction from fact and to combat misinformation and disinformation, which we all know often create a breeding ground for predatory practices.

The vice president also applauded Democratic GAs for “convening attorneys to provide pro bono services” to “ensure women have access to reproductive health care.”

However, while Harris praised AGs for “taking over” pregnancy resource centers, she conveniently failed to address the violence and threats from radical pro-abortion protesters at those centers in recent months.

After an unprecedented leak and the U.S. Supreme Court’s final decision to overturn Roe vs. Wadepro-life organizations, pregnancy resource centers and churches have faced violence from radical left protesters.

According to the Family Research Council (FRC), there have been nearly 100 attacks on churches, pro-life organizations and pregnancy resource centers since the court ruling. Dobbs decision was disclosed on May 2.

While there were 33 attacks on churches, there were 57 attacks on pro-life organizations and pregnancy resource centers, FRC reported.

For example, pregnancy resource centers in Wisconsin, Oregon and New York have been burned down.

These attacks are believed to be orchestrated by radical pro-abortion activist groups, including Ruth Sent Us and Janes’ Revenge, which have repeatedly targeted pregnancy resource centers.

Harris’s silence on attacks on pregnancy resource centers and other pro-life organizations aligns with that of other Democratic politicians. For example, House Democrats voted against a resolution condemning violent attacks on pregnancy centers.
