Jyotiraditya Scindia after INDIA boycotts news anchors – Firstpost

INDIA has decided to “boycott” certain television news presenters whom it considers “biased” and who think they are “communitizing” debates on information.

After opposition bloc INDIA drew up a list of 14 TV anchors it would boycott, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the alliance would soon be blacklisted by the people of the country.

“Those with black hearts are the only ones who do such acts by blacklisting them. You should see the role of INDIA alliance across the country, from north to south… People will blacklist this alliance,” Scindia said.

INDIA has decided to “boycott” certain television news presenters whom it considers “biased” and who think they are “communitizing” news debates.

They are: Aman Chopra, Amish Devgan and Anand Narasimhan of News18; Chitra Tripathi and Sudhir Chaudhary of Aaj Tak; Gaurav Sawant and Shiv Aroor of India Today; Prachi Parashar of Indian Television; Arnab Goswami of Bharat Republic; Rubika Liyaquat of Bharat 24; Navika Kumar and Sushant Sinha of Times Now Navbharat; Aditi Tyagi of Bharat Express; and Ashok Shrivastav of DD News.

The decision was taken on Wednesday at the first meeting of the INDIA Coordination Committee, where it authorized the subgroup on media to draft the names of presenters.

“A media sub-group will have to decide on the names of anchors in whose shows none of the Indian parties will send representatives,” Congress leader KC Venugopal said.

BJP issues statement

Shortly after the opposition bloc announced the names of news anchors who would be boycotted, the Bharatiya Janata Party issued a statement on X, formerly Twitter, saying: “The INDI Alliance, directly threatening the media, it’s like gagging them for telling the truth. »

He adds, “This also shows that the ‘ghamandiya’ alliance does not have the courage to face the truth. The Bharatiya Janata Party severely criticizes the unfortunate move of the INDI Alliance.”

Meanwhile, BJP national president JP Nadda said, “The history of the Congress has many instances of media intimidation and silencing of those with divergent views. Pandit Nehru restricted freedom of expression and arrested those who criticized him.

“Indira Ji remains the gold medal winner for the manner of proceeding – she called for an engaged judiciary, an engaged bureaucracy and imposed the horrible emergency,” he added.
