Justin Bieber calms his fans’ fears. The musician and singer sparked some controversy after appearing to unfollow his wife Hailey Bieber on Instagram. Bieber went online to explain what happened.
Bieber shared an Instagram Story in which he said someone managed to gain access to his account and unfollow Hailey. “Someone logged into my account and unfollowed my wife,” he wrote on a white background.
“S…it’s making noises in here.”
The story was shared earlier today and has now been removed. It follows various photos shared in his Stories celebrating his winter with Hailey, with the two sharing a look at their snowy vacation.
The messages follow several months in which the couple avoided rumors of separation or divorce, with both decrying them at every opportunity. “They are laughing at the constant divorce rumors,” a source told PEOPLE. “It’s annoying but just noise.”
The couple welcomed their first son last summer, named Jack Blues. Bieber shared a photo of his baby’s foot at the time, writing, “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER.”
Other photos shared on Bieber’s Instagram Stories suggest that he is working on new music and that a new record could be released soon.
Various photos shared over the past few days show Bieber working with various musicians, all seated among computers, speakers, pianos and other instruments.
Another image shows a shirtless Bieber playing an acoustic guitar, sitting across from another musician who plays an electric guitar. Finally, another image shows Bieber typing on the computer with one hand while he plays some keyboard keys with the other.
A new album would be Bieber’s first since 2021, when he released “Justice,” nominated for multiple Grammys. Bieber’s most recent single was released in 2022, titled “Honest.”
