Junior Eurovision: Frenchman Lissandro wins the 2022 edition

Frenchman Lissandro won Eurovision Junior 2022 on Sunday in Yerevan (Armenia). Her interpretation of “Oh Maman”, co-written by Barbara Pravi, obtained 132 points awarded by the national juries and literally conquered the public, whose votes counted for half of the note. Sixteen countries were in the running for this competition reserved for singers aged 9 to 14. At 13, Lissandro, from a village in Moselle, repeats Valentina’s feat which had already enabled France to win the competition two years ago with “J’imagine”. Young French people do much better than their elders. France has not won the classic Eurovision since Marie Myriam’s performance with “The Bird and the Child” in 1977.
