Julianne Moore, Milly Alcock and Meghann Fahy Join Netflix Series ‘Sirens’

Julianne Moore, Milly Alcock and Meghann Fahy are all set to play lead roles in Netflix’s upcoming limited series “Sirens.”

Variety Warner Bros. exclusively reported in February that the dark comedy series would be coming to Netflix. It comes from “Maid” creator Molly Smith Metzler and is based on her play “Elemeno Pea.”

The series is told over the course of a weekend at a lavish seaside estate. According to the official paper, “Devon (Fahy) thinks his sister Simone (Alcock) is having a really creepy relationship with her new boss, enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). Michaela’s cultish, luxurious life is like a drug for Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time to intervene. When Devon stalks her sister to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be.

Moore is one of the most famous actresses of her generation. She has received five Academy Award nominations to date for the films “Boogie Nights”, “The End of the Affair”, “Far From Heaven”, “The Hours” and “Still Alice”, the last of which earned her the award for best actress. She is also an Emmy Award winner for playing Sarah Palin in the 2012 film “Game Change.” She has recently starred in shows like “Mary & George” and “Lisey’s Story.”

She is repped by WME, Entertainment 360 and Edelstein, Laird & Sobel.

Fahy recently received critical acclaim (and an Emmy nomination) for her work on Season 2 of the hit HBO series “The White Lotus.” She is also known for the Freeform series “The Bold Type,” on which she starred for five seasons. Her other credits include “One Life to Live” and guest appearances on shows like “The Good Wife,” “Gossip Girl” and “Chicago Fire.”

She is represented by WME, Anonymous Content and Sloane Offer.

Alcock is best known for her role in Season 1 of the HBO “Game of Thrones” prequel “House of the Dragon.” It was announced in January that she would play Supergirl in the rebooted DC Cinematic Universe. She has also appeared in series in her native Australia such as “Pine Gap” and “A Place to Call Home.”

She is repped by CAA, Entertainment 360, Curtis Brown Group and Goodman Genow.

“Sirens” is the first project from Metzler’s multi-year overall deal with Netflix following the breakout success of “Maid.” She is the writer, showrunner and executive producer of “Sirens” under the Quiet Coyote banner. Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie also executive produce LuckyChap. Nicole Kassell will direct the first two episodes and will also executive produce.
