A judge on Saturday overturned warrants for Imran Khan’s arrest in the Toshkhana case as the former Pakistani prime minister marked his appearance in a court in Islamabad.
The hearing was adjourned to March 30 as workers from Khan’s party, the PTI, and police clashed at the premises of the court complex, Dawn reported.
District and Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal ordered Khan to appear in his personal capacity at the next hearing.
I am grateful to the masses who came when I went for my court appearance. Everyone knows that the cabal of crooks in power has only one goal, to imprison me anyhow until the end of the election. Already 96 cases on me and I am sure that after my appearance today, I will reach my first century of legal cases. pic.twitter.com/S9u9PHs1SQ

Meanwhile, a major drama unfolded at the PTI Chairman’s home, Zaman Park, Lahore, with police entering the residence and arresting over 60 people amidst tear gas fire.
Attack on IK’s Zaman Park residence where Bushra Bibi is alone inside the house. This is pure state terrorism by a corrupt CM watchman and his Gullu Butt police. All these self-proclaimed human rights defenders who are paid by Mohsin Naqvi TV shd know that they pic.twitter.com/qm57k26AGZ

What is the Toshakhana case?
In an investigation, Pakistan’s anti-corruption body, the National Accountability Bureau, found that Khan, during his tenure as prime minister, kept some state gifts presented to him by various foreign dignitaries, A ANI says the report.
On November 19, 2022, NAB became aware of the alleged non-disclosure of the true value of gifts received by the former Prime Minister, his wife and other cabinet members.
Sources with knowledge of the matter said there was a discrepancy between the actual value of the gifts received by the former prime minister and the sale, ANI reported.
