THE New York Knicks The head coach was dismissed Tom Thibodeau a few days after being eliminated the playoffs, the team announced on Tuesday.
Thibodeau helped New York reach its first finals of the Eastern Conference since 2000 Indiana Pacers. This is the first time that the Knicks have changed head coaches after having made the final of the conference / division or the NBA the previous season, according to ESPN Research.
The Knicks reached the playoffs four times in five seasons with Thibodeau and won four playoffs. Before Thibodeau was hired in 2020, New York won only one victory in the eliminatory series since the 2000-01 season.
Knicks Guard Jalen Brunson Expressed his support for Thibodeau at a post-match press conference after losing against the Pacers on Saturday. “Is this a real question right now? You asked me if I think he’s the right guy? Yes,” said Brunson.
After the Knicks were eliminated by the Pacers, Jalen Brunson expressed his support for Tom Thibodeau.
