Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of Caroline du Nord football coach Bill Belichick, is not prohibited from team facilities, the school announced on Friday, challenging a report by a podcast published earlier during the day.
“Although Jordon Hudson is not an employee of the University or athletics Carolina, she is welcome in Carolina football facilities,” a spokesperson for the sports department said, noting that there were “false reports” on her role. “Jordon will continue to manage all the activities related to the personal brand of coach Belichick outside his responsibilities for Caroline football and the university.”
Earlier, former journalist and personality ESPN Pablo Torre published an episode of his podcast, “Pablo Torre disonds out”, focused on the working relationship between Belichick, 73, and Hudson, 24. The episode reported that Hudson had been prohibited from the establishment.
After the UNC published his statement, Torre said on X that he holds his subjects according to his podcast reports, and the information “came from the highest levels of the football program”.
“UNC can now choose to describe or change his position on the involvement of Jordon Hudson as he wishes, after the publication of our episode,” wrote Torre. “We asked for comments and submitted dozens of Foia requests that were not satisfied.”

The role of Hudson has been examined in recent weeks after his participation in an interview “CBS Sunday Morning” with Belichick promoting his new book, The Art of Winn. CBS called Hudson as a “constant presence”, and she arrested when a question arose on how the couple met.
“We are not talking about it,” said Hudson out of camera.
After the broadcast of the interview, Belichick said in a statement that the segment was “selectively published” to suggest a “false story”.
Belichick said he had informed his book of his book that all promotional interviews would only focus on the content of the book. CBS said there was no prerequisite for interviews.
Hudson and Belichick said they met on a flight in 2021 and began to go out together in 2023. In Belichick’s book, released this week, he called Hudson as “Idea Mill” and “Creative Muse”.
Hudson should participate in the Miss Maine competition from Saturday. She was the first finalist in the 2024 competition.
Belichick, who won six Super Bowls as a new England Patriots coach, was dismissed after the 2023 season when the team went 4-13, their third losing season in four years. He spent the 2024 season to play a variety of media roles, Hudson having played a role in his work with ESPN and Fantasy of the Outsider.
North Carolina hired Belichick as a coach in December 2024.
UNC was under discussion to be presented in the documentary series “Hard Knocks” by NFL Films, which would have focused on a university football team for the first time. The partnership did not materialize, Hudson playing an instrumental role in breaking the talks.
