Jonathan Diller’s family told Kathy Hochul she had ‘his blood on her hands’: report

A family member of slain New York police officer Jonathan Diller let Gov. Kathy Hochul “get the upper hand” when she stopped by the vigil Friday afternoon — telling him ““his Blood is on your hands,’” a witness told the Post.

The family member was “going crazy over her,” a longtime police officer told the Post.

“He said, ‘We don’t want you here.’ You are not wanted here. You have blood on your hands. If you want to do something, change the bail laws,’” the source said.

Diller, 31, was shot and killed in Queens Monday evening.

Both suspects in the incident have long criminal records and have previously served prison time.

The tragic killing has sparked renewed calls for Albany to crack down on bail reform, which many law enforcement officials blame as a repeat offense.

Hochul and Attorney General Letitita James were also denied requests to speak at the Saturday morning service, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade reported.

“How completely out of touch and disrespectful – it’s only about them when you make this kind of request. This should really be about the family,” former Rep. Lee Zeldin told Fox about the governor’s alleged request.

Hochul attempted to mend fences Saturday by lowering flags at state buildings to half-staff on the day of his funeral. “His heroism and dedication to protecting New Yorkers will never be forgotten,” she wrote on X.

She is not expected to attend Saturday’s funeral, but Mayor Eric Adams, a former New York City police captain, is expected to give a speech.

New Yorkers are fed up with the perceived “soft on crime” policies that have been implemented under Hochul’s leadership, Zeldin insisted.

“New Yorkers are reaching their breaking point and are about to flee. And the people who are in charge, these elected officials, are not really making life in New York better,” he scoffed.
