Jon Jones releases statement and CCTV footage after claims he threatened UFC drug tester

UFC legend Jon Jones has found himself in trouble once again.

The heavyweight champion has had numerous run-ins with the law during his Hall of Fame career, but he has stayed out of trouble since his last arrest in September 2021.

However, a new police report was filed against Jones on April 5 following an alleged altercation with a drug testing officer, Crystal Martinez, after she arrived at his home to collect a sample for the anti-doping program from the UFC on March 30.

Martinez told authorities the UFC superstar was “cooperative at first,” but he eventually ended up taking her phone to record a video before threatening to kill her and her co-worker.

“Why you people come so early, do you know what happens to people who come to my house… they end up dead,” Jones allegedly said during the incident.

On Saturday, “Bones” took to social media to respond to the allegations against him and share CCTV footage showing him in a friendly exchange with Martinez as she left his house on the day in question.

I want to respond to reports that I threatened the life of a drug tester and took a phone,” Jones wrote on Instagram.

“I would like to clarify that there is a video showing the two drug testers leaving my home after the testing session, where we exchanged a high five and a hug.

“Even though I was frustrated by the lack of professionalism and used profanity out of frustration, it ended in a friendly and friendly manner, with nothing threatening.

“I was actually celebrating a friend’s birthday at my house, and I think it’s only right to celebrate in the comfort of my own home.

“I must say that this particular tester behaved unprofessionally and even violated standard protocol as well as HIPAA laws.

“In my 20 years of being drug tested, I have never encountered an incident like this with a DCO officer before.”

UFC CEO Dana White has yet to comment on the incident.

Jones was supposed to defend his belt against Stipe Miocic later this year, but it’s unclear if this court case will impact that fight.
