“The way I’m able to go on and say, ‘Wait, actually what I’m doing is good,'” JoJo said, “is because some of the most respected people in the world have come to me . and I said, “What you’re doing right now is so good. It’s what the world needs, and I’m learning from what you’re doing right now.”
And one of JoJo’s biggest supports came from her former Dance Moms instructor, Abby Lee Millerwho said she doesn’t understand why people are “making a big deal about her rebranding” in the music video for her new single, “Karma.”
“It’s JoJo with face paint and a fabulous costume,” the choreographer said in an April 5 TikTok video. “Before it was stars and rainbows and pink and lavender and turquoise, and now it’s black.”
“She’s always the one doing amazing dances,” she continued, adding that she “loved everything.”
