Johnny Wactor’s last words revealed by friend who held him as he died

General Hospital Star Johnny’s Wactor’s last words and moments before his death were devastating, according to the friend he saved.

Speaking for the first time, Johnny’s co-worker Anita Joy shares what exactly happened the night he was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles over Memorial Day weekend.

“I’m heartbroken and so angry,” she shared, while explaining how senseless Johnny’s death was. Prepare to be gutted.

“I was with Johnny in his final moments and I am here to be his voice after such unimaginable events,” Anita Joy wrote in her first message since Johnny’s murder.

Anita was a colleague of Johnny’s at the bar, and the two left work together that fateful night when everything went wrong. Johnny’s cause of death was confirmed as homicide, after he was shot by a thief and his henchmen, who were trying to steal parts from his car.

“My friend of 8 years went from laughing together, working side by side, leaving our bartending shift and walking to our cars, to dying in my arms on the streets of (downtown Los Angeles) in the dark hours to 3 a.m.,” Anita wrote, confirming the story released by police, while adding some even more devastating details.

Anita said she and Wactor “approached cautiously” the men trapped near her car, “at first thinking the car was being towed.”

“We posed no threat and Johnny kept his cool as he always did, simply stating that it was his car and they had to leave. Open hands at his side in peace,” she added.

But violence prevailed, as one of the three men who apparently tried to steal his catalytic converter shot Johnny in cold blood.

“As I heard the gunshot ring out in the night, (Wactor) fell forcefully into my arms,” she recalled.

“As I grabbed him, I shouted ‘Honey, are you okay?!’ And he only replied: “No! Shot!’

“He was senselessly killed by a coward who reacted with no regard for the wonderful life he led,” Anita wrote. She also confirmed that Johnny stood between her and the violent robbers, also preventing her from being shot.

“We fell into the street where I pushed my legs under him and tried to hold his body upright while screaming for help and yelling at him to stay with me,” she said.

The bar security guard rushed over after calling 911. They performed CPR on Johnny while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

In the end, neither of them could do anything. “It was too close, too extreme an injury for him to survive, but my goodness he fought to stay,” she wrote.

“My only peace is that I was with him and this didn’t happen to him alone – my only other peace will be seeing these horrible men brought to justice,” she added.

An incredible life, taken too soon

As well as sharing details of that sad night, Anita also paid tribute to her “handsome and awkward as hell” friend, praising his “genuine nature” and the way he “lit up a room”.

“His energy was magnetic and pulled you in effortlessly – you were safe with him,” she wrote.

“Absolutely one of the best men I have ever known,” she wrote.

“My heart is broken by his loss, but I believe I have gained the best guardian angel there is. I love you Johnny Wacky.
