Carter Michael Gaudreau was born on April 1, seven months after Johnny and his brother, Matthew, suffered fatal injuries when they were struck during a bicycle by an alleged drunk driver.

One of the most moving photos she shared showed in Carter sleeping next to a framed photograph of Meredith and Johnny together.
Meredith Gaudreau announced her pregnancy to her husband’s commemorative service on September 9.

The brothers had bike on the eve of their sister’s wedding when the fatal accident occurred.
The police said that the driver – Sean M. Higgins, 43, of Woodstown, New Jersey – was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He was charged with two homicide chiefs per vehicle without surety or deposit.
In documents seen by Dailymail.com, Higgins admitted to the cops he had drank “5-6 beers” before taking the wheel of his Jeep Grand Cherokee and crash in the back of Johnny and Matthew on Thursday evening.
Higgins should then appear in court on April 15.
Johnny Gaudreau was seven times all-star from the NHL who played 11 seasons, the first nine with the flames of Calgary and the last two with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He collected 743 points (243 goals, 500 assists) in 763 games.
