John Stamos was taken in the backlash after photos of him diverting an event at the Mar-A-Lago estate in Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, circulated online. The appearance of the star of “Full House” confused fans because he often supported democratic policies in the past and even seemed to display the support of Kamala Harris in the presidential election last year against Trump. Have the Stamos suddenly went Maga? Not so fast. The actor went to his Instagram to explain his appearance in Mar-A-Lago and stressed that his “political values and opinions remain unchanged”.
“I accepted the invitation to the Palm Beach Ray of Hope ceremonial gala, an evening dedicated to honor it and raise it our front line heroes,” said Stamos on its Instagram history. “This non -partisan event supports Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations, an organization 501 (C) (3) which forms 350 to 400 nurses each year, directly approaching the critical shortage of health professionals in the county of Palm Beach.”
“Supporting nurses is not political-it is essential,” he continued. “These are the people who care about us and our families when we need it most, and I believe that we should present ourselves for them with the same unshakable dedication that they present each other every day. I support the importance of health care, service and invest in those who care about our communities. My values and my political opinions remain unchanged. ”
According to USA Today: Mar-A-Lago’s event “also included appearances of the former dancer of” Dancing with the Stars “Artem Chigvintsev and Karina Smirnoff. The event was co -chaired by Linda Adelson and Janet Levy, who both share links with the president. ”
