Brock Purdy may well get his wish.
The quarter-back of the 49ers said that after the season, he wanted a long-term extension “earlier than late”, set a goal to do so before the start of the intersane program.
Managing Director John Lynch said on Monday that it was possible that the parties agree by then.
“”I don’t think it’s too optimistic“Said Lynch, via Matt Barrows from Theathletic.com.” I understand why Brock wants it. We would like it very much. We just have to find this good place for both sides. I would not want anything more for it to be the case.
Purdy, who produced $ 1.84 million last season after a check -out check -based system, enters the last year of his recruit contract. It is expected to earn $ 5.346 million in 2025.
“Brock wants to be with us,” said Lynch. “We want Brock to be with us. When this is the case, these things are usually done. And that happens this offseason? I don’t know. I hope this is very soon to happen.”
We do not know if Purdy will appear on the voluntary off -season program without extension. Lynch was not willing to speculate on what Purdy will do if the 49ers do not obtain an agreement concluded before the season.
“I think we are going to conclude the agreement,” said Lynch. “That’s what I think. So we’re just going to leave that. ”
