And one of the opportune times to get children to share their thoughts is bedtime. “I think for me, being able to lay down with them and read them stories and hear about their day and stuff,” Chrissy, who married the Grammy winner in 2013, said. “These are really special moments that you don’t like. I don’t want to miss anything as parents.”

Then there are times when this village intervenes. “But for the rest,” she continued, “it helps us incredibly to have such a great team.”

And to take care of their children, parents must also take care of themselves. As John said, “I think you also need to make sure you make time for each other.”
