Joey King is in negotiations to play alongside Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman Magic Practical 2SESSEN DE WARNER Bros.’s pictures of the 1998 film.
Susanne Bier, who directed Bullock in the post-apocalyptic thriller Bird and Kidman in the Sordid Netflix mini-series The perfect coupleis on board to direct the functionality which has a release date of September 18, 2026.
Bullock and Kidman take over their roles of witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who, in the original film, fight a family curse that sends the men with whom they fall in love. This film was based on Alice Hoffman’s novel and juggled the themes and ideas of fraternity, the empowerment of women, domestic violence, with a comedy and a supernatural pleasure.
King will play one of Bullock’s girls, the one who discovers the secrets of the dark family and his own dark powers, plunging the family into crisis.
Akiva Goldman, who co-wrote the first film, co-wrote the script for this episode with Georgia Pritchett. Bullock and Kidman also produce with Denise Di Novi from the original.
A shooting of the end of the summer in London, where Warners shoots several of his films, is planned.
Warners did not comment on the agreement.
King has become a familiar name for the crowd gen z thanks to playing a teenager torn between two boys in the romantic Kissing cabin Trio of films that have been among the most consulted on Netflix for a while. She won an Emmy for her work in Hulu’s criminal drama The act and has taken lead roles with the 20th century studios’ The princess And opposite Brad Pitt in High -speed train. She played the last time in the science fiction film Netflix CowardDirected by MCG.
