“He is very scared,” wrote another.

“He doesn’t want it lmao,” replied a third.

“Brother not ready,” commented a fourth.

Topuria knocked out former featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski in February, who had previously beaten Holloway 3-0, to become champion.

“El Matador” has tapped the UFC for his first title defense, which will take place in Madrid, Spain, sometime in 2024.

It could now be against Holloway after “Blessed” called for a fight against the Georgian-Spaniard in his UFC 300 post-fight interview.

“I am him!” Holloway called Topuria before asking him to sign the contract.

Then he appeared to call out current 155-pound champion Islam Makhachev, saying, “Islam is famous for holding his own against 45ers! I’m here.”

It remains to be seen whether “Blessed” will move back down to 145 pounds for a title fight with Topuria or whether he will stay at lightweight for a potential clash with Makhachev.

Islam shared his immediate reaction to the result on X.

“Justin is a warrior, hold your head high champ! Spectacular performance from Max, congratulations,” the pound-for-pound No. 1 posted.

Jon Jones also commented on Holloway’s victory saying, “Enjoy that 300,000 max” in reference to Dana White increasing post-fight bonuses from $50,000 to $300,000.

Holloway was moving up a weight class to fight for the “BMF” belt against former interim lightweight champion Gaethje, who won the belt last July with a stunning head kick KO over Dustin Poirier.

Max got into his rhythm early on and, in the first round, landed a final spinning kick that left Gaethje with a broken nose.

By the fifth he was ahead on the scorecards and in the final seconds he pointed to the canvas to confront his opponent.

The two exchanged a barrage of punches, but it was Holloway who landed a clean right hand to Gaethje’s jaw to snatch the victory with a second to spare.
