The future of Joe Hendry’s WWE was apparently revealed after its appearance at Wrestlemania 41 Night Two in Las Vegas.
TNA World Champion Hendry was the surprise response to Randy Orton’s open challenge after his match against Kevin Owens had to be canceled due to Owens’ neck surgery.
During the press conference after the show, WWE CCO Triple H revealed what he said to Hendry before going out in the arena for the match.
He said:
“I love Joe Hendry, it’s a great talent, a great artist, intelligent, respectful of what we do. He has a brilliant future.
“And I was really, really happy to put it in this place and present it for everyone on a larger platform.
“Just before I go out, I said,” You will be here again, so take advantage of it because the pressure becomes heavier from here.
“It will be the easiest Wrestlemania you will do, and you will do more.” »»
Hendry is still under contract with TNA Wrestling, but was roughly the face of the promotion partnership with WWE.
He had a big crossing race in NXT last year, then appeared as a participant in the Royal Rumble
