- Ronnie O’Sullivan has not played since the league league in January
- The legend of the Snooker, 49, withdrew from a series of high -level tournaments
Snooker star Jimmy White was referring to a potential return to sport for Ronnie O’Sullivan.
O’Sullivan, 49, has been mysteriously absent in recent times after having removed a series of high -level tournaments so far in 2025, including Masters, German masters and Open Welsh.
In fact, the seven times world champion has not played on the tour since he retired halfway from the league league on January 9 when he broke his signal after losing four of his Five games.
This has aroused speculation that O’Sullivan could retire, although he published a statement last week apologizing for his absence, which, according to him, was due to the need to prioritize his mental health.
And, White, who is a close friend of O’Sullivan, has provided an update on the 49 -year -old and did it to come back soon.
“He needs a match practice before the world championship,” White told Eurosport. “He needs to get out of it.

O’Sullivan has not played for weeks and withdrew from a series of high -level tournaments

White made a boost O’Sullivan to return to action soon and said that he had heard rumors about it
“I heard that he has a good clue which he is satisfied, (but) I only hear whispers.
White said that if O’Sullivan was to come back to the world snooker championship, which begins on April 19, he must soon find himself in a competitive action to ensure that he has a chance of success in the crucible.
“He needs to play tournaments to get a match practice to his credit,” added White.
“By saying that, do you remember when he did not play for a year, then he came and won the world championship (in 2013)?” As long as he plays, he has every chance.
Meanwhile, going to X last week, O’Sullivan gave his fans an update after having retired from Open Welsh to Llandudno on Tuesday, a few hours before he is planned to play his First round match against Jamie Clarke.
“I realize that many people who bought tickets for recent snooker events have been frustrated when I retired,” he said in a statement.
“So I just wanted to say sorry to those of you who were disappointed that I had to withdraw from these tournaments.
“I tried to prioritize my health and my well-being, which sometimes means making last minute decisions not to be played.

O’Sullivan published a statement last week explaining his absence and apologizing to fans
“It’s never an easy decision and I hate dropping people.
“I do what I can get back to my best, and I am grateful for all your support and understanding.
This came after O’Sullivan cited exhaustion as a reason to miss the masters last month was engaged in an exhausting series of exposure events abroad.
He told Eurosport: “It was really a nightmarish decision to take. I obviously made this three -week trip outside, and I think I exhausted myself.
“(There was) a lot of pressure while I was absent and the accumulation of all this kind of too much.
“I lost the plot on Thursday and I broke my signal so that it was unplayable, so I knew at that time, the right decision was not to play.”
The 49 -year -old man should then participate in the world open in Yushan at the end of this month.
