Jim Parsons breaks silence on possibility of reprising ‘Big Bang Theory’ role for sequel

Jim Parsonswho gained popularity and popularity for his portrayal of genius Sheldon Cooper on the long-running sitcom The Big Bang Theoryshared exactly what needed to happen for him to reprise the character in a sequel series or movie.

By speaking with E! News At the Drama League Awards, Parsons was asked about his iconic role as he discussed the spinoff series’ ending Young Sheldon. In the show, Iain Armitage portrayed a child version of Sheldon, and Parsons reprized his role for a short appearance in the finale which aired on May 16.

But then the interviewer asked him a very important question, wondering: “What would it take for you to make a sequel? Because we love Sheldon!”

Parsons’ response? “Reincarnation.”

Although the interviewer initially took the answer as negative, Parsons stepped in to clarify, saying, “Never say never to anything. Life is long, God willing. But I don’t think so. ..”

Unfortunately for Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory fans, it doesn’t look like there will be a sequel or movie in the near future. But from what Parsons said, there is still room for hope!

In the comments on YouTube, many fans seemed to understand Parsons’ opinion but still wanted a different answer, with one writing: “I respect Jim’s decision, but I hope he changes review. We LOVE Sheldon!”

“Honestly, a movie wouldn’t be a bad alternative instead of doing a full-fledged sequel,” another fan suggested.

While The Big Bang Theory And Young Sheldon are now over, fans of the TV universe still have something to hope for, as revealed in a new spin-off entitled Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage is on the way.

It will focus on the characters of Georgie Cooper Jr. and Mandy McAllister, played by Montana Jordan And Emilie Osment, respectively. The show is expected to air on CBS this fall.
