Jill Duggar, husband Derrick Dillard reveal heartbreaking news that she delivered her daughter stillborn at 4 months

Jill Duggar and her husband, Derrick Dillard, announced the devastating stillbirth of their first daughter.

The couple made the sad revelation that their daughter, Isla Marie Dillard, died in utero when Jill was four months pregnant. They hadn’t yet announced that they were expecting baby #4.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post on Saturday.

“Jill was 4 months pregnant (due in August) when we found out our baby had died in utero. As soon as we found out we were pregnant, we couldn’t wait to meet our baby. Isla was very loved from the start and her 3 big brothers were so excited to introduce her to their world,” they continued.

“We appreciate your prayers as we continue to grieve and heal from the loss of our little Isla Marie,” Duggar, 32, and Derrick, 35, concluded the devastating announcement.

The “Counting On” alums — who are parents to sons Israel, 9, Samuel, 6, and Fredrick, 1 — were seen looking at a pink crochet blanket during a social photoshoot social.

Their friends and family members were quick to share messages of support.

Jinger, Jill’s sister, commented, “I love you so much, sis. Continue to support each other in prayer. We will miss sweet little Isla.

Her cousin, Amy Duggar King, also responded, “Isla Marie, it’s such a beautiful name and meaning. Pray continually. God has a plan to overcome all this sorrow. You are in my thoughts and prayers and you will continue to be. 💕 We love you so much.

The couple, who married in June 2014 in a televised wedding on the show “19 Kids and Counting,” distanced themselves from their family amid the scandal surrounding their brother Josh.

The 36-year-old was sentenced to 12 years in prison in May 2022 for receipt and possession of child pornography.

He was also accused of molesting five minor girls, including two of his sisters.

Jill has since detailed her childhood, and the secrets behind the “cultish” religious teachings her family was raised with, in her 2023 book, “Counting the Cost.”
