The owner and managing director of Cowboys, Jerry Jones, has teased that Dallas is working on several movements surrounding the NFL draft this week.
“We are examining two things that could happen before or after the project. Two fairly substantial trades, worked today,” Jones told journalists on Tuesday, according to Nick Harris of Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The cowboys contain 10 choices in the 2025 draft, including the 12th overall selection.
Dallas was active this offseason despite not making huge splashes. The team added several veterans through trades and free agency on short-term transactions, notably Pass-Rusher Dante Fowler Jr., secondary Kenneth Murray and the half backs Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders.
The cowboys also exchanged the Kaiir Elam corner half and the quarter-rear Joe Milton.
The franchise negotiates a long -term agreement with the star Micah Parsons, who is entering the last year of her recruit contract. Parsons was present for the start of the voluntary part of the Dallas off -season program, but the two parties remain separate in the negotiations.
“Believe me, if we could sign Micah to a certain number that we wanted to sign it, we would do it right away,” said executive vice-president Stephen Jones, according to Todd Archer d’Espn. “But right now, there is a difference in what we think is the right number and what he feels is the right number.”
