Jeremy Renner explains why there is not yet a second season of “Hawkeye”.
In a new interview with High Performance, Renner, who plays Clint Barton, says he was offered “half” of his salary from the first season of the Disney +series. “They asked me to do season 2, and they offered me half of the money. I say to myself:” Well, it will take me twice as much work for half the amount of money and eight months of my time, essentially, to do it for half the amount “”, he said.
Renner then suggested that the lower salary proposed was the result of his almost deadly snowmobile accident in 2023. “I say to myself:” I’m sorry? For what? Did you think I’m only half of Jeremy because I was run? Maybe that’s why you want to pay half of what I did in the first season. “”
Renner was hospitalized for a blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries on January 1, 2023, after his snow-cap, a large plow of snow which weighs at least 14,330 pounds, reported it. The actor was trying to help his nephew get out of the snow near his home in Lake Tahoe when the Sno-Cat crushed him. His injuries included eight broken ribs in 14 places, a broken knee and ankle, a tibia and a broken ankle, a broken collarbone and more.
“It’s not Marvel, be careful. It’s like, just Disney, not really Disney. They are just Penny’s Pinchers, the accountants. I told them to go and fly a kite. I mean, just in the insult’s offer. So we have not seen the” Hawkeye “in the future.” Unfortunately, I still love the character. Care, beware of you.
The first season of “Hawkeye”, which also played Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh, made its debut on Disney + late 2021.
Marvel did not immediately respond to VarietyComment request.
