Jeremy Allen White has proven that he is perfectly integrated into the Bum-Margant jeans of Bruce Springsteen, making his debut a first convincing trailer for a biopic of the singer “Dancing in the Dark” at the Cinemacon 2025.
White, winner of many golden trophies for his work on “The Bear” in Hulu, presented himself to the annual cinema owners with the Costar Jeremy Strong in a trailer. Speaking with the new Disney distribution chief, Andrew Cripps, during the presentation of the studio, the actor spoke of the pressure presented by the film, entitled “Delive me de Nowhere”.
“It was incredible, stimulating and a dream come true. I feel really lucky. We have all had Bruce’s blessing. The film tells the story of a very crucial moment, Bruce is struggling to reconcile the pressures of success in relation to his past,” said White.
A trailer cut exclusively for theater owners opened with White as Springsteen on a New Jersey car field, testing a Chevy 305. “I know who you are,” said the dealer, leaning in the window. White smiles and says, “That’s one of us.”
Strong Plays Jon Landau, manager and confidant of Springsteen who, in the early 1980s, helped him eliminate the noise of fame and the expectations of unraveling in his artistic talent. A montage of young Springsteen players, showing a father (played by the recent star of the breeze “adolescence” and co-creator Stephen Graham) determined to raise a fighter and a mother trying to teach him compassion and grace.
“When Bruce was small, he had a hole in the floor of his room. A floor which is supposed to be solid? He is supposed to be able to stand, Bruce did not,” said Strong in voiceover. “Bruce is a repairer. What he does with this album is that he is repairing this hole in his soil. Repair of this hole in itself. Once he did this, he will repair the whole world.”
The images end with what is easily the biggest test of the film for White: a live performance of what is undoubtedly the most emblematic song in Springsteen, “Born to Run”. The actor nails the hoarse croon of Springsteen, throwing his hair bordered by sweat on stage and ending with a split which brings his electric guitar to the ground with him.
Research images will publish “Deliver Me From Nowhere” at the end of 2025.
