Earlier in the day, the NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah, held his annual conference in preview in the next draft of the NFL, and he addressed several prospects, while discussing the management that several teams could take.
Before sharing what Jeremiah said about the Bears de Chicago, I will share some of his reflections on some players who were linked and / or mocked in the Bears.
The Patriots of New England choose fourth place, and he thinks that it is at this time that the first offensive tackle would stand out from the board of directors. Jeremiah said he “continuously heard that it is Will Campbell’s place”.
If Campbell goes four in total, it is always possible that another offensive tackle falls into the Bears, and it is possible that it is their number one tackle.
“The teams are not universal in the slit of these plasters.” Said Jeremiah. “In fact, I spoke – in the past 24 hours, I spoke to three teams that are not in the range to take plated, so that they can give me an honest response of the way they stack these guys. And I had a team that was Will Campbell at the top, I had a team that was Armand Membou at the top, and I had a team that was Kelvin Banks at the top. »»
He said Membou would be plug-and-play on the right for the New York Jets at seven in total. However, he said that he had both tight ends, Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland, classified on Membou, with each “worthy of being selected there”.
These two tight ends made fun of the Bears at 10, so Jeremiah have classified them so high shows how they are seen in the league.
Like most analysts, he likes this running class, and he mentions several who could take place on the first day and have an impact.
Regarding the Bears, he gave a long answer after asking this question.
Q: Knowing how the top 100 of this project is being set up, how to somehow characterize the opportunity that the Bears have next week to mix and match these 75 best choices, four of them, and create a sort of gift basket with which they feel good? Then, I suppose, with that, what position would you feel the most hesitant to wait until the second day?
Daniel Jeremiah: It’s good. They are in a fantastic position. When you choose 10, 39, 41, 72, they get four instant impact players with the way this project is shaking. I am also excited for them. We did one thing the other day on teams that have the most opportunities in this project, and they would be near the list
In terms of positions that you probably do not want to wait, if you are ready to get an offensive tackle and want to get your long -term left tackle, you will want to do it with your first choice. I do not like the possibilities of seeing someone who will be an upgrade on what you have once you enter the second round of this particular project.
It would therefore be a kind of reflection process there. If he is close to some of the other players, I could see them leaning in this direction and check a tackle of the list. There are backs. There are tight ends. There is a lot of depth there.
If they want to strengthen a defensive line, get a rusher on board, for me, like an ideal place for them, choose 39 for a rusher on board. It is an ideal place to find this guy.
I think they can do a leading store. If you want to take one of the first two tight ends, I think they are going more than the trouble to go. Ashton Jeanty falls on your lap, run the map up there. They are in an ideal place where they can somehow – they don’t have to be aggressive with the first choice.
Someone will go there that they will love and start for them on the first day and have an impact. I am almost more excited to see what is happening with their next choices, because it will be a fun combination of players they have set up.
Again, to reiterate what I said about the titans, these teams with young quarters, yes, we can look at the defensive side of the ball, and you can find holes, but at the end of next year, if Caleb Williams took a leap with Ben Johnson, I think that Bears fans would feel very well in the direction. This is why if it’s close, I look on this side of the ball.
