Jenny McCarthy said that she “is almost dead” after going to a plant -based diet before making a complete 180.
The former Playboy star, 52, explained how the change in his diet helped to heal his body during the episode of Wednesday of the podcast “Heal Squad X Maria Menounos”.
“I tried vegan and almost died. I am literally dead, ”she told the host Maria Menounos. “I have become so sick to be vegan.”
McCarthy said that the elimination of animal products from its diet while obtaining enough calories simultaneously was almost impossible due to its food intolerances – such as celiac disease, dairy problem and soybeans.
“I can’t have carbohydrates and everything is a carbohydrate,” she said. “I am also allergic to soy and everything (has soy).”
“I was literally dying,” she continued. “I was exhausted and tired. I was in disorder. “
The star of “Masked Singer” said that she was also “healing” from candida fungal infection, Hashimoto’s disease – a chronic autoimmune condition that has an impact on the thyroid gland – and the intestinal syndrome that was fleeing.
“The fled and candida healing can take years-it takes 100% of the years,” she said. “So I did all kinds of diets … I also have MCA, an intolerance to histamine, so I followed a low mood diet, I did each of them.”
However, last year, his “functional medicine doctor” told him that it was “time” to “make full carnivore”, which means a meal plan made up of meat, poultry, eggs, seafood and fish.
“I said to myself:” UGH, ok “, I mean that I come from Chicago so that I could manage it, but I just felt very weak vibrational (and) heavy for me,” she said. “As if I was a little more eating salmon and very light things like that, but I said to myself:” I could also try it. “”
Although it was his “last resort regime”, McCarthy said that “he was incredible for her.
“It changed my energy and my digestion. I have been a constipated little girl since I was younger … as since I was young, I had to get enemas. “
“Now that I started the carnivore, I literally go every day without laxative,” she added.
However, she pointed out that a carnivorous diet may not work for everyone – just like a vegan diet did not work for it.
“Some people work (and) heal better with a vegan diet and some people do not,” said McCarthy. “This is what you think and you have to follow your intuition, then follow what your blood or what your body says.” Your body will make you know. “
