Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage has been on hold for some time now.
A source told Page Six on Monday that they have been separated since March, but Affleck is “very protective of Jennifer.” Reps for the couple have not commented.
“Bennifer” has been at the center of divorce rumors for months.
On Monday, Page Six also reported that the celebrities are selling artwork from their $60 million Beverly Hills home, which is also on the market.
According to reports, collectors and interested buyers purchased “artworks and some pieces” that were “newly listed for sale” at their premises in early June.
Rumors of the couple’s marriage began in early May, when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala without her husband.
Shortly after, it was reported that Affleck was staying at a separate home from Lopez.
InTouch reported that the couple is in therapy to work on their marital issues.
“Ben believes in therapy, to a point, and is willing to exercise common sense by participating with an open mind, even though he hates the whole humiliating process,” a source told the outlet.
Most recently, Affleck and Lopez’s $1 million Beverly Hills home was listed on Zillow in June. Affleck has since moved his belongings out of the house, according to People.
The stars spent the start of the summer mostly apart, with Lopez taking a trip to Italy without the “Argo” actor, who remained at his home in Los Angeles.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer enjoyed a boat ride and dinner with friends in Positano during her trip. She then took a commercial flight to Paris Fashion Week with her bodyguard.
A source told People that the “Hustlers” star — who canceled her world tour due to marital issues — is “grateful” to have some time to herself, and that she and Affleck are “doing their own thing so far this summer.”
While his wife was in Europe, Affleck made headlines for confronting paparazzi who were using flashbulbs while he was driving out of the couple’s home. He got out of his car and berated the photographers, warning them that they were putting his life in danger.
Despite persistent rumors of their marriage, Lopez made a point of congratulating Affleck on Father’s Day, June 19.
She called Affleck a “hero” with an old photo of her husband.
Lopez and Affleck were together from 2002 to 2004. They ended their engagement in January 2004 after delaying their wedding “due to excessive media attention” surrounding the couple at the time.
After their breakup, they got married and had children with other partners. Affleck had three children with Jennifer Garner, while Lopez had twins with Marc Anthony.
But to everyone’s surprise, “Bennifer” became a thing again in 2021. They tied the knot in July 2022 in Las Vegas after a three-month engagement and later had a more elaborate ceremony in Georgia.
