Jenna Ortega opens onto the stereotypes she was confronted with Hollywood as a star for the role of a “schoolgirl” in Wednesday.

During one (by coincidence) Wednesday profile with Harper bazaar,, THE Wednesday Star said “it was so beneficial and comfortable” for her to build friendships with colleagues old actors of the child Winona RyderNatasha Lyonne and Natalie Portman. The latter actor also declared to the point of sale that because of his short height, “people will often treat you as a child forever”, a feeling with whom Ortega agreed.

“I relate to this if a lot, and it has always been really boring because you just don’t have the impression of being taken seriously,” she said. “It’s like the way you are dressed in the schooling costume.

Before she had the opportunity to represent Wednesday Addams Tim Burton Netflix SeriesOrtega said: “I have always been in dark things where I was fascinated by them, but I was a Disney kid, and everything is to be sparkling and kind and too soft.”

Now, at 22, the Emmy nominated is struggling with the notion of portraying a “schoolgirl” as it continues its ascent in adulthood. She explained: “I make a show that I will make for years when I play a schoolgirl”, adding: “But I am also a young woman.”

Ortega noted that with WednesdayAlthough his character is “a pariah and a stranger – it is also an icon of pop culture”, which led him to “become a pop actor – if that makes sense. And this is something that I have never seen for myself ”.

To fight against the pigeon in the kind of horror, she “found this balance between the films that could be interested, then make films that interest me” and which then seeks roles which are “older and more daring and different”.

Like the star and now a Producer to come for season two of WednesdayOrtega wants to continue adding more diversified credits to its entertainment curriculum vitae. She recently said she wants to direct “A script that I knew I was going to do for almost 10 years.”
