What happened last weekend?
The Riverside County Fire authorities were called to the Madison Club, a high -end country club and a residential community from the Quinta desert community near Palm Springs, on Saturday evening for a report from a person with serious injuries after falling from a golf cart.
Sperbeck was then taken to the hospital, and he died early Wednesday from his injuries.
Elway was at the scene of the accident, Ali Simon told Kesq-TV. Simon said she hadn’t seen the accident occurring, but saw a man lying on the ground surrounded by people and Elway on the phone.
TMZ reported that Elway was driving the golf cart, citing unidentified sources. Kusa-TV in Denver also cited an anonymous source saying that Elway was driving.
The law enforcement officials did not say who driven the golf cart, and Elway did not confirm it or deny it in a press release on the death of Sperbeck.
The medical staff on the scene did not find any evidence suggesting that Elway was drunk, Bianco told Denver Post. He did not explain how the staff reached this conclusion.
What is the participation of the Sheriff’s Office?
Bianco said the first stakeholders had not immediately called the Sheriff’s office on the scene, and would generally inform the police if there was concern. He said that his agency was involved following the interest of the media in the case and examined surveillance images and testimonial testimonies. The investigation will be short, he said.
Ed Obayashi, Deputy Sheriff of County Modoc and Special Prosecutor, said that the police may not be initially called to investigate a injury involving a single person, for example, who falls on the stairs or by bicycle.
But if a death occurs, Obayashi said that law enforcement officials are generally invited to investigate so that the coroner can fulfill an in -depth report.
“This could be a question of routine, or there may be information that they have received which forces them to investigate,” said Obayashi, who trains the laws on legal issues.
