Jeep and Chrysler will stop making their plug-in hybrid models as Stellantis NV focuses on other hybrid powertrains, the automaker confirmed Friday.
“As customer demand evolves, Stellantis will phase out plug-in hybrid (PHEV) programs in North America beginning with model year 2026 and focus on more competitive electrified solutions, including hybrid and extended-range vehicles where they best meet customer needs,” the automaker said in a statement from spokeswoman Megan Soule.
