Manchester, NH – The Governor of Illinois JB Pritzker has taken a scene commanded by previous presidential hopes on Sunday and implored the Democrats to resist the Trump administration forcefully while panicing the leaders of his own party for having been too shy for too long.
While Pritzker denounced President Donald Trump in a speech to the Democrats of New Hampshire, he also accused Democratic politicians of adopting a “culture of incrementalism” which led the party to be returned by the Republicans, who implement an agenda which is contrary to the values of the left.
“It’s time to fight, everywhere, at the same time,” said Pritzker. “Let’s start with something that should be easy to say: it is wrong to seize a person in the street and ship them to a foreign gulag without any chance of defending himself in court.”
Cheers sounded in the audience during this comment during the annual dinner of the McIntyre-Shaheen 100 state festival, which brought the largest crowd in the New Hampshire Democrats have seen since 2020, the organizers said – more than 800 people. The presidential race is in three years, but the animated democrats who jumped several times on Sunday pointed out to hear about challenging Trump’s white house.
It was the first event in a first historic primary presidential state to host a potential presidential candidate in 2028 – and in Pritzker, he presented an early politician on the best way to challenge Trump and the GOP, while different Democrats are looking for different ways in the first days before the next national elections.
In an interview, Pritzker brought back the idea that he plans to come to the presidency, claiming that he had not yet decided if he will ask for a third term as governor in Illinois.
But he has long been considered a member of the short list of suitors in 2028, and as a billionaire who has self -financed his political campaigns in the past, he is well placed to launch a campaign. The Dinner of the State Party in New Hampshire is a traditional judgment for potential presidential candidates in the years preceding a campaign.
He was also an early and coherent voice of the opposition to Trump. In his speech on the state of the state this year, Pritzker has moved to issue a warning concerning the actions of the administration, saying: “If you think that I react and that I am excessively the alarm too early, consider this: I needed the Nazis a month, three weeks, two days, eight hours and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic.”
New Hampshire has long been the first primary of the nation State in Democratic presidential competitions. This changed under President Joe Biden in 2024, but the Democratic leaders said they would most likely reorganize the calendar before 2028.
Pritzker told Democrats that he had never called for demonstrations in the past but that he was now Call on “mass manifestations”, “mobilization” and “disturbance”.
“Republicans cannot have a moment of peace.” Pritzker said.
In the interview, Pritzker went even further, saying that if the Democrats recover the majority to the House, they should investigate the actions of the Trump administration officials, in particular which accessed the sensitive data of taxpayers.
“We are going to keep responsible people. They can’t just get away with what they are doing right now,” said Pritzker. “Whoever violates the law, whoever violated the Constitution as a regular question of the way they manage their offices, these people should all be the subject of an investigation if they violate the law. … think about the private life of social security and the registers of Medicaid and all that Doge has entered and simply violated, as if that is not going on.
Back in his speech, Pritzker said that Democrats should blame their losses in November on a “lack of guts and dildo”, not the defense of the black party, transgender children and immigrants.
“Voters did not prove to be for the Democrats last November not because they do not want us to fight for our values, but because they think that we do not want to fight for our values,” he said.
He also shot the “Flocker to Podcasts” from other Democrats, without distinguishing anyone. California Governor Gavin Newsom recently launched his own podcast, who sparked a certain controversy inside the party.
“What I find ironic about the current conversation surrounding our party,” said Pritzker, “is that the voices flock to podcasts and new cable shows to urge other democrats so as not to worry about the struggles of the working families are the same who, when it comes to relieving the struggles of real people, were shy.
