After tripping in match 3 against Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics responded with a 107-98 victory in match 4 of the first round series on Sunday.
The victory made a 3-1 lead for the Celtics.
It was far from a dominant performance for Boston, because the physical defense of Orlando helped him stay in the game until the last moments. It was a two-point match before the last minutes, but the Celtics used a sequence of 10-1 to create enough separation to leave with the victory.
Star Jayson Tatum, who missed match 2 due to a wrist injury, paved the way in Boston with 37 points and 14 boards, coming to life for a handful of clutch buckets to help put the game.
However, it took Tatum more than Tatum. Jaylen Brown collected 21 points and 11 rebounds, Kristaps Porziņģis added 19 and Derrick White set up 18.
Magic Stars Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner brought the weight for Orlando, combining for 55 points, but there was not little offense to find elsewhere in the loss.
After the victory, the fans sounded Tatum and the Celtics.
After Sunday’s victory, Boston now has the opportunity to close the series on its field on Tuesday. Although the Celtics did not get the scanning, they can always end the series early and rest very necessary before winning the winner of the series between the Pistons de Detroit and the New York Knicks.
