He underwent surgery, the Celtics announced Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, the 27-year-old himself spoke.
He subtitled a photo of the thumb of his hospital bed saying: “Grateful for all love and support.”
The Celtics are now 3-1 to the Knicks of the series and will face New York in match 5 at TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday evening, attaching to a success without their starry man.
But his teammate Jaylen Brown was provocative in the absence of a tatum and insisted that his team can still be turned upside down.
Prepare for the next one. Prepare to fight, “said Brown. “Prepare to go out on the floor of our house and do what we have to do.
“This is the goal. Always the goal. We have enough in the locker room, so I believe in my guys.
