Boston – Jayson Tatum underwent surgery to repair an Achilles torn apart in the 6 pm following the injury last week in match 4 of the Celtics series in the second round against the Knicks. The fact that Tatum could have had the procedure so quickly was a question of luck (his favorite surgery was based in New York), but he could end up having long -term advantages for the star according to Brad Stevens.
“Super hard for Jayson, more than anyone,” said Stevens about the consequences of the injury. “As it was well documented, he likes to play, and I think even missing two games was exhausting for him. We therefore know that there is a long road to come and that there will be several steps that he will have to take before he returns to the field, but the positive was that we were 15 minutes from these. ”

The Celtics did not give any clear calendar on Tatum’s recovery calendar, but Tatum’s father told Marc Spears last week that Tatum expects to return in 8 to 9 months. This would put a potential return to the beach of February or March next season. However, Stevens stressed Forsberg that the team would not precipitate the process of such serious injury in the middle of Tatum’s Prime.
“This is a complete recovery,” said Tatum. “Helping him to feel like himself as soon as possible and as soon as possible may be as long as it takes. There is no calendar.
