Jayden Daniels’ play for the Commanders this season has sparked a lot of discussion about whether he had the best rookie season of any quarterback in league history and Sunday’s game could make any discussion against him.
If the Commanders can beat the Eagles, Daniels will become the first rookie quarterback to take his team to the Super Bowl. That feat would be tough to top in terms of feathers in a rookie’s cap, but Daniels said Wednesday he doesn’t draw motivation from the opportunity to become a trailblazer in that regard.
“I don’t even think that far ahead. It would be it will obviously be a blessingbut I just focus on how I can be better day by day,” Daniels said.
That focus has served Daniels well since entering the NFL and a win this week would prompt many thoughts about how good Daniels is and how quickly he could reach those heights.
