Texts of alleged comb read in court
In May 2024, CNN published a clip for the 2016 hotel surveillance video which seemed to show combs attacking his girlfriend at the time Cassieborn Cassandra Ventura. (The assault joined an alleged detailed incident in the trial it filed against Combs on November 16, 2023; the two parties announced a regulation the next day.)
“I was making a blow. I hit Rock Bottom,” said Combs in a video published on Instagram in response to images. “But I don’t make any excuse. My behavior on this video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in this video.” He had been in therapy and rehabilitation since, he added, and was “determined to be a better man every day”.
During a September 18 hearing on the second application for a bail of Combs, American deputy lawyer Emily Johnson Said, according to NBC News, that Combs sent an SMS in the days that followed the assault that said: “Call me, the cops are here.” Another said: “I have six children. Call, I’m surrounded.”
Johnson did not say the name of Cassie before the court. She said that the Combs victim replied by SMS: “Sélévé, you think it’s ok to do what you have done.”
The deposit was again refused, this time by the American district judge Andrew L. Carter Jr.
