Jay Leno dismisses the idea that he “deliberately sabotaged” Conan O’Brien

Although Leno stopped apologizing to O’Brien, he offered his condolences to jimmy kimmel.

As he prepared to leave The show tonight, Leno said he received offers from several networks, including Kimmel’s house at ABC. At the time, he called Kimmel to find out how he would feel if Leno joined the network, which meant Jimmy Kimmel Live! would be pushed back to 00:35 instead.

Leno said Kimmel was okay with it, but he never followed it after he decided to stay at NBC, which he now regrets.

“I guess I should have called Jimmy and explained to him again, but I didn’t,” Leno said. “I don’t know why I didn’t. I just didn’t. I thought he would probably understand. But I think he may have been hurt by it, and I I apologize for that.”
