Jason Kelce will make his retirement decision in the “coming weeks”

Jason Kelce could be close to making a decision on his NFL future in the “coming weeks.”

All eyes have been on the Kelce family this season and especially last week during the Super Bowl festivities in Las Vegas.

But Kelce has remained tight-lipped about returning to action next season after the Eagles were unceremoniously eliminated from the playoffs by the Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.

While a report surfaced after the Wild Card Round loss that Kelce had told his teammates he was retiring, Kelce made no official announcement and stated that he had not actually taken any decision.

“I’m still figuring it out,” Kelce told Shaquille O’Neal on “The Big Podcast with Shaq” Monday. “I think if I still want to play, I’m going to play. I think at the moment we are not far enough from the last match. It’s moving, it’s a long season, a frankly, horrible end to the season. So I’m just going to take some time, rest, recover and then figure it out.

“I think I will have an answer in the next few weeks.”

Kelce may have been hinting at what he’s trying to do during Pro Bowl weekend in Orlando.

A TikTok went viral, showing him telling a fan that “I’m going to try not to” as they begged him not to retire.

Travis Kelce also addressed his brother’s future during Super Bowl week, stating that “I think it’s still up in the air” when it comes to any decisions.

Kelce received a lot of attention during his trip to Sin City to support his brother and the Chiefs.

But it emerged that it was also a business trip for Kelce’s older brother.

He met with ESPN and Fox to discuss his potential opportunities in broadcasting after ending his playing career, Front Office Sports previously reported.
