In addition to Jason and Sonny rushing into action, General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday January 8focus on Nina delivering bad news and Portia confiding in Isaiah.

PLEASE NOTE: General Hospital is preempted on Tuesday January 7due to media coverage.

Flaming emergency

Monday’s teasers suggested that Michael (Chad Duell) was in danger. That danger must intensify because in Wednesday’s episode, Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) rush into action.

GH’s weekly promo features fire, tears, devastation and maybe even a candlelight vigil. The ironic thing is that all of this is happening while Michael’s life is turning into a dumpster fire. His marriage is over. His soon-to-be ex-wife brought their son to his partner Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) inauguration ceremony. And the person Michael cheated with is pregnant and doesn’t want him involved in his baby’s life at all. And now this? How much can one person take?

Unpleasant conversations

Nina (Cynthia Watros) announces bad news. Nina is already upset that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) went to Washington DC with Wiley (Viron Weaver) to support Drew as he officially became a member of Congress. Nina is a little desperate to break Willow and Drew’s bond. Will she finally tell her daughter that Drew slept with Nina first? Or is it because of the fire? What will happen if Nina has to tell Willow that Michael is on death’s door?

Meanwhile, Portia (Brook Kerr) confides in Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). The doctors have an emergency going on at GH that they just woke up from. They should know by now that none of these deaths were due to accidents. They were intentional. A murderer is among them. And it’s not Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). What does Portia reveal to Dr. Gannon? Furthermore, what will Isaiah do with this information? He doesn’t seem like someone who sits back while others figure things out. So how will he react to Portia’s news?

Pregnant break

Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) are stressed and worried about having a baby – or rather the fact that they haven’t gotten pregnant yet. Suddenly, Chase opens up to Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). He should share his thoughts on what is happening, from his point of view. What kind of advice will Sasha give her friend? And will she share the news of her pregnancy with Chase if he doesn’t already know?

As for Brook Lynn, teasers suggest she’s making a revelation. Does she decide to stop trying for a baby and let things unfold without the stress she and Chase experienced? Or is her revelation about a completely different baby? Something that happened in the past, perhaps?
