However, the Spaniard ran in an advance of 6-1 in the equality break which followed and leveled the competition shortly after when Musetti castigated a pass in the net.
From there, the impulse was swarmed suddenly in favor of Alcaraz. With the deactivated pressure, he dropped only five points during the third set, capitalizing on the physical problems of his opponent.
Musetti had called the coach towards the end of the whole and had received treatment at the top of his left leg. He decided to continue, but lasted only three unbalanced games before retiring and awarding Alcaraz the victory.

“It is not great to spend or win the match like this,” said Alcaraz in his interview on the field. “Lorenzo is a great player, he had an incredible clay season … I wish him all the best and a recovery (fast).”
Although it is not always at the top of his game in the semi-finals, Alcaraz now has the opportunity to top a few sensational weeks, having won titles in Monte-Carlo, beating Musetti in the final and Rome.
“It’s been intense three weeks, but I only have one step to do,” he said. “I feel good, I have the impression that I play excellent tennis and that I am confident at the moment. I’m going to give everything on Sunday. ”
