The dates for the parliamentary elections are likely to be announced soon by the Electoral Commission.

Kishor claimed he was building a “new political alternative” for Bihar, which has been “abandoned” by established parties.

Apart from promising sufficient number of tickets to women, Muslims and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), Kumar also said that he himself might enter the fray “if the party takes the decision”.

The 47-year-old former political strategist also identified Raghopur, the seat of opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav, and Kargahar, his own birthplace, as two constituencies he might want to contest.
