Jamie Vardy gave fans another time to remember because he adapted to one of his last games for Leicester on Saturday.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s team welcomed Southampton at King Power, the two clubs were planned to play in the championship next season after their relegations were each confirmed with several games.
Four minutes after the veteran striker had just opened the scoring for the Foxes, referee David Webb fell in the middle of the field after an accidental collision with the Jordan Ayew de Leicester.
Webb, which made its premier debut as an arbitrator, was obviously in a certain pain and had to receive treatment in the field. But it was not one of the three other officials who alerted the physios of the situation.
Instead, Vardy took the hilarious fine to grab the referee’s whistle with his hand while he landed on the ground and breath to call for help.
The incident – which occurred in the 22nd minute – caused a period of 11 minutes to the procedure, which led to a total of 12 minutes of additional time in the first half.
