Jamie Redknapp rips into Manchester United star Casemiro who ‘looks like he’s playing in Soccer Aid’

Jamie Redknapp claimed Casemiro looked like he was playing in Soccer Aid as he struggled against Bournemouth.

The Manchester United midfielder was part of the side who dropped more points in their quest for Champions League football after playing out a 2-2 draw against the Cherries on Saturday.

Unfortunately for Casemiro, the experienced midfielder played an important role in Justin Kluivert’s goal for Bournemouth – an effort which put the hosts up 2-1 in the first half.

Analyzing the goal after the match, Redknapp made no bones about the 32-year-old’s performance, saying it was if he was playing in a charity match.

Speaking on Aerial sportsthe former Liverpool skipper said: “I watched Casemiro sometimes today.

“I’ve watched him for many years and he’s one of my favorite defensive midfielders in world football. I love watching him play.

“But I look at him now and he looks like he’s playing Soccer Aid.

“It seems like he’s playing at such a pace that it’s a bit of fun and there are celebrities coming onto the pitch – no.

“It’s the Premier League. You have so much experience.

“It’s not about anything other than running.

“I think about Rodri and what he would do in a given situation – he would fly out to help his teammates and that’s what Casemiro should do.

“That’s my point with Kobbie Mainoo. He has the world at his feet, but you need great role models to get to the top and people you will look up to and aspire to be like.

“But at the moment, Casemiro is not setting a good example for the young players around him.

“Like I said, I’m a big fan, but that’s not enough. If he had sprinted, he would have stopped it.
