Jamie Lee Curtis revealed that she had undergone plastic surgery at the age of 25 due to a comment that made her on the set of a film.
In a 60 -minute interview, the Oscar -winning actor said that a director of photography would not one day film it because he said: “His eyes were ample”.
The film was an Aerobic Perfect drama, which also featured John Travolta.
“For him, saying that it was very embarrassing,” she said. “As soon as the film finished, I ended up undergoing plastic surgery.”
Curtis said that surgery was not going well and that it was something that she “regretted immediately” regretted “and regretted since.
“I became a really public defender to tell women:” You are beautiful and you are perfect as you are. “She said. “It was not a good thing for me.”
She said she started taking pain relievers after surgery. “Well, they give them to you!” She said. “I became very in love with the hot bath of an opiate. You know, drank a little, never in excess, never major public events. I was very calm and private about this. But it has become a dependence for sure. ”
In 2018, she told people: “I was ahead of the opiate epidemic curve. I had a 10 -year race, flying, accomplice. No one knew. Person.”
Curtis has now been sober for 26 years and in 2023 spoke of his trip. “I’m lucky. I have not made terrible high decisions or under the influence that, for the rest of my life, I regret, “she said. “There are women in prison whose life was broken by drugs and alcohol, not because they were violent criminals, not because they were horrible people, but because they were drug addicts.”
The star previously expressed his concern about the rise in cosmetic procedures. “The current trend of charges and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the things we do to adjust our appearance on zoom destroy generations of beauty,” said Curtis in 2021. “Once you are mistaken with your face, you cannot recover it.”
This week, the actor also talked about the social media of a “totally IA,” false advertisement which uses his resemblance. She implored the founder of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, to get help to remove it.
“If I have a brand, in addition to being an actor, author and defender, it is that I am known for having said the truth and saying like that and to have integrity,” she wrote. “This (bad) use of my images … with new false words put in my mouth decreases my opportunities to tell my truth. I was told that if I ask you directly, you may encourage your team to control and remove it. I have long deleted Twitter, so it’s the only way to think about achieving yourself. ”
Later in the day, she added: “It worked! Yay Internet! Shame has its value! Thank you to all those who have sounded and helped to rectify!”
The 66 -year -old man won his first Oscar in 2023 for his role in all everywhere at the same time. Since then, she has played in an acclaimed dramatic series The Bear and alongside Pamela Anderson in the last showgirl. She will then be seen in the suite of Freakier comedy on Friday with Lindsay Lohan as well as in the series of criminal thriller Scarpetta with Nicole Kidman.
